Vague musical reference...Blues will get it Who should play Rasalom? - NickelobLight - 07-08-2008 I know it's a little bit unconventional, but you know who I think could totally pull it off? Laurence Fishburne. He just has this commanding presence in his movies. Even that horrible movie with the Baldwin brother from like 10 years ago...don't remember the name. Where they're escaped prisoners and they ride around on Ducatis? Heck, even when he was 'Larry' Fishburne in Cadence, he had this commanding presence. But what do I know? I work at a nuthouse. [apologies for those of you who had to read the draft version of the following post...I'm in the process of changing my ISP due to the current one's incompetence and double-posts are only one of the numerous symptoms thereof] Fled, starring Fishburn and Baldwin. Fishburn's 47, the same age as Spacey and Glen; perhaps someone younger would be be equally good. Will Smith is 40 this year...he'd be an acceptable choice. On another front however, while I do not doubt their ability to play the role well (Fishburn and Smith are two of my favourite actors), my gut says that an African American actor portraying the personification of evil on Earth is a little too Mississippi Burning, for me. I know you weren't going there, but certain public figures that like to frame things based on race rather than ability could have a field day with that continuity change. -Wapitikev Who should play Rasalom? - Noelie - 07-08-2008 Scott Miller Wrote:That is why I put Molosar down as I see Gary just terrifying in the role. I wouldn't complain if he played Rasalom but the visual connection just isn't as strong for that.Agreed, I really should have said Molasar too because that's what I really meant. But I do see him in my head as all of the versions of Rasalom (well, not ALL of them if you know what I mean :p ), because he would be so terrifically evil no matter which guise it was. The house he "sells" to Ramirez was the town house owned by Dr. Gates. I flipped out. Who should play Rasalom? - RichE - 07-09-2008 I like Charles Keating but he might be too old. Paul's sneaky like that...you'll find more and more as the series goes on. -Wapitikev Who should play Rasalom? - 350SS - 03-15-2014 I think Tom Hiddleston would do a good job. Who should play Rasalom? - fpw - 03-16-2014 Naveen Andrews would be interesting. Alan Rickman in his heyday would have been perfect. I took one look at Snape, lank hair and all, and thought Molasar. |
