In a similar vein, I would venture that Matrix 2 & 3 need to be remade ASAP. From the ground up, starting with giving The Wachowskis a little less money and a lot longer on the script . . .
Speaking as someone who saw Episode 4 in the theatre, back in '78, Martix 2 and 3 weren't as big of a betrayal as Episode 1 and 2 were but, still...

My first suggestion is one I mentioned elsewhere (I think it was the Who Will Direct... thread):
John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness-the special effects in this movie were soooo bad, and the acting wasn't much better...and yet I still find the movie extremely creepy.
...and then of course:
The Keep-need I elaborate?
Any other remakes that would be a good idea?

LOL. I agree. He isn't the best actor, but they should =not= remake Rainman. Maybe it was so good because Tom Cruise didn't have to act to come of as a self-absorbed moron. Maybe that's a little harsh, but it's true.
