At Binons Horseshoe Club in Las Vegas there is a glass enclosed display of 100 $10,000 bills. (One MIl.$)
When I first saw it (1958), it was promrnetly displayed in the entrance to the gaming hall.
Now it is at the rear of the casino by the stairs leading to the basement bar&grill. (a mil isnt what it used to be)
First & only time I've seen anything more than $100 bill.

I'd be surprised if shady characters haven't a bunch to facilite their shady transactions.

They stopped printing ours in 2000, but they are still legal tender. Link to CBC article (short).

Interesting.

I keep a Canadian 50 dollar bill in my wallet. The older one with the Mounties' Musical Ride on the back.

I pull it out and show it occasionally to (jokingly) show how friendly Canadians are.

"See! They have a picture of the Bush Administration on the back." (Or Klinton, or Carter, or Reagan.)

When I show them the back of the bill and get a puzzled look, I then fold it in half horizontally and show the bottom half -- a bunch of horses rear ends. Big Grin

It always gets a laugh.

tehuti Wrote:I just finished reading the part in Legacies where Jack was pulling the real estate scam on Ramirez to get Jorge's money back. When Sung paid Jack to steal the deal out from under Ramirez he gave Jack fifteen one thousand dollar bills.

Last time I checked, and I verified it just a few minutes ago, the largest bill in circulation is the $100 bill. So Jack would have been the one who was ripped off.

 Wink

Sorry if this was mentioned earlier in the forum. I looked but didn't find it anywhere.

$1,000 bill, Cleveland Ornate ONE THOUSAND, Denominations of $500 and higher were discontinued in 1969.

Well Jack's at it again! He passed another $1,000 bill in Crisscross. I wonder how many this guy has anyway. Cool

Hmm, then that would be a big hole in the movie 'Pacific Heights' with Michael Keaton. If I'm not mistaken, he pays Matthew Modine in $1000 bills to secure the apartment. Of course, Keaton is a con-man, but he's a rich one.
