Sorry Lysis, trying to work and think is proving difficult today. So, onto your questions and what ifs.
Obviously the 7 theme is here.
The Infernals dating from the First Age? From an era that spawned the first form of Rasalom and a young then human Glaeken. That would be a common beginning that might help "tie" them together through subsequent times and battles. Is this good/evil struggle the basis for the myths of our world? I'll have to re-read a few things to get my thoughts around these ideas.

The Infernals have to date from the First Age, since they are listed in the First-Age-written Compendium. When the pages are not disappearing of course.
But don't people like to speculate? I just can't wait for the following books, and try to ease it by imagining and looking for connections...
And could the seven sins be the traces left by the Septimus?
