Who should direct a movie version of a prequel to The Keep?

MM- Actually only about one-fifth of the film is involved with the Wehrmact and the character of the captain played by Jurgen Prochnow. The film revolves around Glaeken Trismegistus, who wakes up after a deep sleep in a transient, merchant-marine setting some place in Greece in 1941.The movie revolves around him and his conflict, which seems to be fated, with a character named Roderick Molasar.

RODERICK!!!! LMFAO!

"The Keep" DVD - RichE - 01-02-2009

fpw Wrote:According to a number of sources (http://www.comingsoon.net/dvd/nov04.php), Paramount Home Entertainment is releasing "The Keep" on DVD this fall (street date = 11/30) with no extras.

I’m considering remedying that. I’ve spoken to Doug Winter (critic, biographer, novelist, columnist for Video Watchdog) and David Schow (screenwriter and novelist) – both acerbic wits with strong opinions about the film – and asked them if they’d be interested in joining me for a commentary track. They are.

The plan: We’ll sit down in a studio sometime in August when David is on the East Coast. We’ll run the film and shoot our mouths off for 96 minutes. Then we’ll put it onto CDs and sell them to anyone who’d want to play it along with the movie.

A commentary track that trashes the film…I don’t think this has ever been done before. Could get a lot of press.

Then again, it may not.

Either way it’ll be a kick.

Tell me if you pull this off Paul: I'll pay through my nose-hairs to hear you rant, ala Miller, about the fine points of how Hollywood has a talent for destroying good books!

This thread is nearly four and a half years old.

As far as I know, the movie was never released on DVD.

It wasn't. I'm told Mann blocked it.

You put the image of Michael jumping in front of a big black Limo, begging on his knees with tears smearing his mascara, yelling "Don't ""The Keep"" It!" LOL.
