LOST Finale - fpw - 05-25-2006

Is Henry the leader?
Looks that way, which is a good indication that he's not.

Are Locke, Eko and Desmond dead?
Doubt it. I gather a big EMP was set off -- that's not fatal unless you've got a pacemaker or such.

What's the significange of September 22, 2004?
Date of the plane crash, right?

What are Jack and Kate up to with a wink and a nod?
And what will Sawyer think?
Thinking about Sayid?

If a "system failure" was enough to bring down Oceanic 815, what will the (assumed) complete destruction of the Swan bring to the island?
Henry didn't look too upset.

There's something big with the Desmond-Penny-Daddy triangle. I'll bet there's a Daddy-Hanso connection, and I'll bet Daddy was behind Desmond winding up on the island.

I'm guessing that it's either Henry or [Clancy Brown] (if he's still alive - can anyone answer that question?).

Or if they got in the way of a large metal projectile.

Is there a plan which wasn't revealed to us, the viewers?

He did seem upset for a second (maybe ... need to rewatch it), but then just accepted it had happened and was beyond his control. Maybe?

I agree that Daddy is involved with Hanso somehow. Did he also get Desmond court-martialed somehow?

Maybe if I get that job I applied for at Hanso ...... :p

I appreciate the answers... they are great starts, but we'll have to wait until next season to find out if they will be answered at all.

On the subject of the date, I figure that since numbers play a huge role in the whole mythos of "LOST" that the date would play some significance somewhere along the way. Though it was the date of the Autumnal equinox in the Northern hemisphere and the Vernal equinox in the Southern.

And, as far as something else coming to the island, could an EMP that rips apart an airplane drag something else to the island? We know of a balloon, two airplanes and two boats that all crashed onto or near the island. What else could be coming with such a "blast?"

I'm sure we will all be discussing this finale for the next few months.

Plus, there will be a "LOST" videogame coming sometime soon. Hopefully, it won't suck like the "24" and "ALIAS" videogames.

Regarding the significance of the date, September 22, 2004, that's the date the series premiered, as well as being the date of the plane crash.

LOST Finale - cobalt - 05-25-2006

What a great episode! So many questions answered, so many more to go. What I found interesting was that Libby gave Desmond the sail-boat. Was she so depressed after the death of her husband (if that was really true) that she ended up in the mental institution with Hurley? Or did Penny's father pay Libby to give Desmond the boat to get rid of him? Maybe now Penny's father is dead, and/or she found some proof of where Desmond might have went. I can see that man being a "major funder" for Hanso. Now Penny is sparing no expense to find Desmond. Remember the guys at the cold weather station thought they missed the signal again. The original......the date of the plane crash.
Hopefully, Desmond, Locke and Echo aren't dead..........next season for the answers.

LOST Finale - Maggers - 05-26-2006

This might be a piece of information that you guys who've been fans since the series premiered already know. If so, forgive me. I just found it so incredible, evidence of how extraordinary this show is.

In a flashback in the first season, Charlie woos the large, rich Lucy in order to steal from her. When he is first invited to her house her father is not home. Charlie asks Lucy where her father is. She answers:

"He's gone up to Slough to buy a paper company."

Slough is the city in which the fabulous British sitcom "The Office," is located, and they all work at a paper company.

OMG! I can't take credit for catching that. My young friend, all of 12 years old and a big fan of both series, made the catch. Cool!
