Maybe they're starting to lay the groundwork and remind us of Kelvin already? Yes, it looked very similar, especially with a body laid out as Miles was and as Kelvin was the last time we saw him. LOST... the 4th season - Paul R - 02-19-2008 I keep thinking about how Kate and Sawyer were, when Sawyer was trying to get Kate to 'play house'. I know people have been wondering if Sawyer is the 'he' Kate was needing to get back to in the Season 3 finale and I now wonder whether Sawyer stays on the island and Kate stays with him... but can also come and go. Think about Kate's line in that finale - "He'll be wondering where I am." Too right he will - especially if it's Sawyer and he's still on the island while Kate flits back to LA to see Jack. That's an interesting concept, the flitting. Is that how Ben does it? Not just by submarine, which he can't do at the moment, whatever "this moment" means on LOST anyway. I have a feeling there is more to Kate and Ben than meets the eye. I have my suspicions, but I'll just say they may be related in some way. This season already has a dark, sad tone. I think we are in for more of the same. I have the awful feeling that we are going to discover that one of our beloved main characters will be a traitor. I couldn't bear that, and I hope that I am wrong, wrong, wrong. LOST... the 4th season - ccosborne3 - 02-19-2008 I'm watching season 1 again and can't believe how much of the story I've forgotten. It's only been a year since I saw it the first time and I just can't keep all the facts straight in my head. The plane crash scenes were very intense. Has there ever been a flashback detailing Sayid on the airplane? He hasn't shown up in any of the plane footage in the first 4 episodes. LOST... the 4th season - GunslingerAW - 02-19-2008 It's possible the so called traitor could be the person in he coffin that jack visits in he season 3 finale. The only flashbacks concerning Sayid and the plane take place in the airport, when Shannon and Boone. Sayid asks Shannon to watch his bag. Shannon and Boone have a fight. To make a stupid point with Boone, Shannon flags down a security person and rats out Sayid as a possible terrorist because he asked her to watch his bags. Later, we see Sayid being apologized to by the airport people as he hurries to get on the ill-fated plane. I'm pretty sure that's it. I think Ben and Kate are related. I think Kate's parenthood may still be in question. Suppose, just suppose, Ben got together with his little childhood girlfriend, the dark-haired Annie. Annie carved those little wooden dolls for Ben as a birthday present, remember? Suppose, just suppose, Annie left the island and had a baby. Suppose, just suppose, that baby was Kate? Ben could be Kate's real father. That would be incredibly ironic on so many levels because if you remember, she killed her step father, who she thinks is her real father, not just because he was beating her mother but because she couldn't stand the thought that she has his no-good blood in her veins. Imagine if she discovered that she has Ben's blood in her veins?! Think of how cunning Kate is. Kate has always struck me as much smarter than the people we think are her parents. She got away with murder, twice really. She inadvertently got her childhood sweetheart killed. She's wiley in the extreme. She's sneaky, in her way. She won't take no for an answer. She's always disobeying orders, usually with disastrous results. Think of the woman we know as Kate's mother. I know of no mother who would turn on her own child as easily as that woman turned on Kate. I've always had a problem with that, as Kate has. What if Kate wasn't that woman's biological daughter. That could give a boost to her needing to turn Kate in for killing the knucklehead she loved. But Kate's got a sweet side, too, (maybe Annie's blood in her veins?) though I think she will always be self-serving. That's why she will never hook up with Jack. Somewhere in her heart she knows that she is morally no match for him. Kate thinks she can't match Jack's goodness because of the bad blood in her through her father. But which father???? This is just a wild guess, because, lately, Kate has seemed shifty to me. I guess I'm becoming suspicious of everyone who I used to consider solid. Hey, I'm laid up still with my knee, and I've gone through the entire first season of "30 Rock," which is hysterical and I highly recommend it. At any rate, I listened to the pilot, Parts 1 and 2, with the audio commentary by the creators of LOST. When the stewardess was on screen, they mentioned how great an actress she was (yeah, they said that about EVERYONE), and then they said...too bad we won't be seeing her again, or will we? Ha ha, they laughed. They followed that with a comment about Charlie. They said, maybe we'll say goodbye to Charlie, too...ha, ha, or maybe not. In a scene where the survivors are speaking about rescue, the creators said, yeah, that was when they all still believed they'd be rescued, when they still wanted to be rescued, which they do till Season 4. Wow. I'd heard it before but didn't really believe it. The creators of LOST have had this whole gig figured out from the beginning. Sometimes it feels like they're just winging it, but apparently not. |
