Ok, several days and a few caramel machiattos later, I remembered what caught my attention..at the end of Crisscross, Jack is going over in his head again the women and their dogs- he makes a mistake- leaves out the wolfhound and substitutes an alaskan malamute for it.
And can I ask another ? (the one about the deleted files still wasn't answered but I'll live)....the women with the dogs- is it that the Earth itself (our Mother) is the new force/player in the game, and the symbol of her willingness to be a true help to us is the dogs? (man's best friend) Or am I being wayyyyyyyyyyy too philosophical?

I think it's Jesus Christ preparing the way for The Heavenly Father. I think the dog is The Holy Spirit.
On the Other(ness) hand, it could be that Jack just attracts the freaks. Chicks that are into dogs and self mutilation may have a thing for RJ. Maybe it's the flanel that attracts them.

Imagine what is going on around the rest of the world! There are nexsus points evrywhere! Jack is being drawn into this and is only a player on the Advisary's side. I wonder if their are other occurrances around the world that are being taken care of without Jack? They would make for some good stories themselves!
But as far as the timeline, Can't you feal that R----m is getting impatient and desperate for his time to come? And because of this, He is prone to mistakes in judgement, and that is bad for him! Especially facing Jack!

Yeah, and who else? I would love to see a short on Ba opposing the Otherness. After all, They all get a chance in the end. Why is he there? Did he ever face the Otherness (in any of its forms) to be worthy of this honor?

Well, I think Paul addressed that kind of question in a long-ago post, but let me see if I can recapitulate his points. #1: You and I, in the comfort of our well-appointed studies, can ponder what Jack missed in the novels. #2: Jack doesn't have that luxury: he's operating in =real time=, in very stressful situations. #3: Do you write yourself, Akitas?

If it existed only in memory, there would be no way to recall it once it had been cleared. There are lots of people who don't save their work at regular intervals and don't turn on the autosave feature of their word processors.
But, even if she had saved a copy, there are easy ways to erase a file beyond recall. That's why she was planning to email a backup copy to her Hotmail account when she was done, in case someone broke into her files. Unfortunately Jamie was nabbed before she could do that.

I just finished Crisscross as well and loved it! I, too am taking a break to read the new Harry Potter so as not to hear about any spoilers.
I'm in a fix about whether or not to read Nightworld. I have Reborn and Reprisal and Nightworld next to read. But my husband says reading Nightworld should probably wait till all the RJ books are completed.

I would read the AC cycle, which it sounds like you own...Reborn, Reprisal and Nightworld. The RJ books have been written over the past 10 years, and hopefully will go on and on and on and on and on...you get the picture.
I think Nightworld is worth reading after you've read Reborn and Reprisal, and then worth reading again after FPW has completed his re-write, whether or not you've read all the RJ books.
So read away...FPW's books are absolutely worth multiple readings.
