Vintage F. Paul Wilson and Joe Lansdale audio - Maggers - 05-06-2005 I just listened to the interview. Very enjoyable and informative. I particulary enjoyed concentrating on Paul's voice and his unexpected laugh and comparing the ever so slight Jersey vocals to Joe Lansdale's heavy Texas twang. Of course, the content was interesting, too. Paul, flash forward 15 years to the World Horror Convention in NY last month. The questions from the audience were nearly the same. I bet that happens a lot. It was also neat to hear Paul talk about Repairman Jack...that he'd just written an RJ short story, that RJ would be a key figure in the as then untitled "Nightworld," and that he wasn't sure if he was going to write another RJ novel! Ha! Now here we are, 7 soon to be 8 RJ books later, all the richer for it. Very cool. Take a listen if you haven't yet. Vintage F. I thought that was a fairly novel question, and I liked your answer. It opened my eyes to the use of characters and characterization in writing. Vintage F.
