Yay! Got ammo! Went to Walmart and they said they had a shipment out back (but no idea how many of what ammo) but it wouldn't be unloaded until an hour and a half. So we wandered around and managed to not spend too much money on $5 DVDs and such. Got back over there and they got in two cases of 9MM (a case only has 6 boxes). So hubby and I each bought the max allowed of 3 each. Thank goodness because we went shooting earlier today and my son and I shot almost the whole box of the only ammo we had. That gun is smooth. Almost no kick to it. I'm having trouble with the double action part. I'm learning to squeeze more forcefully so it doesn't jam on me.

You're not the only one experiencing difficulty. My agency is thankfully well stocked, but individual officers are having a heckuva time finding ammunition, esp. at reasonable prices. Feel free to PM me and I'll forward you a list of suppliers we've used with success. Good to see a fellow Texan here as well!
