Battle LA - Fenian1916 - 03-14-2011

Saw it, it was a very well made war movie. I liked it a lot

Battle LA - cobalt - 03-14-2011

We saw this yesterday. I really liked this style of filming...as long as it's not too jumpy...that just gives me a headache.

Battle LA - flyingfox - 03-14-2011

I saw it this afternoon, good, made me jump once, and on edge a couple of times. But as it was a 12A in the UK I knew nothing bad would happen.
I was near the end and thought cool, no bad language, then there was one F. Shame they had to put that in.
Still a good film and will get on DVD when it comes out.
Maybe needed more close ups of the aliens.
The jerky camera worked for me ok, but would have liked a bit of steadycam as wellBig Grin No issues with feeling queasy, just like to "see" what I have paid to see:yikes:

It was better than Paul, not that they can be comparedBig Grin

Battle LA - Brian - 03-15-2011

I liked it and once released on Blu Ray, I'll add it to our collection.

Battle LA - Alvin Fox - 03-17-2011

I liked it, but my dislike of Los Angeles may be influencing that opinion.

Battle LA - tenebroust - 03-17-2011

Read my blog post on the movie http://tenebroust-thestenchoftruth.blogspot.com/

Battle LA - turk mcgurk - 04-03-2011

Really liked it. Sci-Fi meets classic war movie formula.

I can tell that you've actually been to L.A. Wink

The romantic notion that L.A. seems to conjure up for some is shattered the moment you actually check the place out.

Battle LA - Alvin Fox - 04-03-2011

Heh, a few hours ago I was watching AMC and they were talking of The Black Dahlia.

It went something like, Elizabeth Short came to Hollywood to be famous and she did in the least likely way.

Battle LA - The Mad American - 04-04-2011

Saw it finally and really liked it. I thought they did what Cloverfield tried to do much better.

I did have one thing I didn't like about it though.....spoiler below.

The whole touchy feely, Braveheart speech thing back at the F.O.B. when they get there and the civilian died was a bit overdone...but that is just me.Big Grin
