THE KEEP (new edition) - cobalt - 11-08-2010

Even though the cover is all wrong....maybe it will attrack new readers?

THE KEEP (new edition) - Brian - 11-08-2010

Shouldn't you have veto privileges on the covers of your books? At least make them make the Keep look like a Keep, not a castle. I have the paperback version, white with red lettering. That, looks like a Keep.

THE KEEP (new edition) - Sigokat - 11-08-2010

My problem with the figure in the circle (besides the whole Jack thing) is that it looks to "modern". The Keep took place during WWII, right? Why does the guy in the circle look like he's walking down some hallway in a present day building or something?

It just looks wrong to me as well.

It's small, but here's what the cover of mine looks like.

Oh man, that cover is a stinker

I also thought that old paperback cover was about right. Maybe the crosses were off, but as for the "feel," and sense of menace, the illustrator got those just right. The Keep was my first FPW book, and that cover definitely helped pull me in... so that one really worked for me.

THE KEEP (new edition) - The "Other" Otherness - 11-19-2010

Agreed, the new cover looks more like RJ (branding) linkage than anything else. Ken V's example of the paperback cover is more evocative of the feel...and less misleading.

I meant the new cover FPW pointed out is a stinker, not the old one

THE KEEP (new edition) - Maggers - 11-22-2010

Paul, I'm collecting you, yet again, on Kindle, or at least beginning to. I have you in hard covers, paperbacks, now I've got you electronically. I'm not obsessed or fixated or anything like that. Big Grin

Are the versions that appear on Kindle all updated? I'm speaking of your entire body of work.

I apologize if this has been asked and answered previously. I haven't been keeping up with this end of the board as much as I used to.

Maggers

They should be, Maggers. Any I've put up (usually $2.99 or less) certainly are. The AC ebooks (those up and those to come) are all the latest iterations.
