rjack_fan Wrote:I've seen the issues as well as the collected story on e-bay quite a lot, try looking there too. You should be able to get the book of all the issues collected for about $20.
Here's a copy, "Condition: Used - Like New. Great Buy. Never Used. May Have a Publisher's Mark."

Cost? $1.48 (plus shipping of course.)

Item number 20.

I didn't have much time when posting last night or I would've asked what titles you read/collect. I was a fairly avid collector of some Marvel titles: The Avengers, Daredevil, X-Men, Conan and Spider Man, back in the 70's but then gave it up due to cost and a maturing intellect(Ha). And then about 10 years ago I read the novel Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman and discovered his Sandman epic and reintroduced myself to the picture books. I haven't really returned to the superheroes a whole lot, I'm more interested in the novels or limited run type of stuff. Some of my favorites in no particular order:

The Red Star by Christian Gossett
Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra(I like pretty much everything I've read by Vaughan)
Torso by Brian Michael Bendis and Marc Andreyko
Locke and Key by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez
Catwoman by Ed Brubaker and Darwyn Cooke
The New Frontier by Darwyn Cooke
Sleeper by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips
and I should mention that Sandman is my quintessential comic and the favorite thing I've read after the Adversary Cycle.

That's right! One new available for $1946.64. I am amazed at the price. Not so much at how high it is, but what an odd price! Where did they come up with that price? Does it mean something? Am I obsessing over nothing?

Are there any current plans to turn RJ into a Comic Series?
The funniest thing is he's charging postage as well. Abebooks.com has 3 for <$20.

GeraldRice Wrote:If that guy from Anthrax can write Lobo, why can't FPW do Batman?

ugh...I know, right? You'd think a member of the band Anthrax would be able to write a fairly good LOBO story...sadly,not the case(at least judging by the first issue I read). And there are TONS of talented muscians, actors, and directors coming in and trying their hand at comics...and most of them dont manage to pull it off. Just because you can write a great song/novel/one-liner doesnt mean you can write a great comic...

I've seen a few used book sellers on Amazon.com listing $5 books for hundreds of dollars. I believe it is a ploy to prevent buyers from buying the books through Amazon, where the seller would have to pay a commission, and instead steer them to the seller's website, so Amazon is cut out of the transaction.

I collect trades and hardcovers and I am the luckiest guy in the world as my wife is into comics and goes with me to comic conventions. Big Grin

Here is one wall of my Comic Book Armory:

This is an old pic...all of those spaces are filled and then some.

I have another wall that contains my novels, one wall that has the closet containing all of my various weaponry...and the fourth wall has a futon, lamp and a new bookcase that is my newest addition.

Now if I could just get some signed FPW books to put on that wall. Big Grin
I'm going to keep an eye out for when FPW does a con or signing in my area.

Ed, you've got problems. But the kind you're lucky to have. That is quite a collection.

I can't believe I didn't mention Fables by Bill Willingham and Mark Buckingham in my previous list so here I am mentioning it now-hugely entertaining.
