secret histories releases question - t4terrific - 10-08-2009 swandy Wrote:Paul (uh, Mr. Wilson) - are there "tweaks" in the other reprinted novels in the Adversary series that have yet to be released? You have to tweak it! secret histories releases question - Bluesman Mike Lindner - 10-08-2009 fpw Wrote:Secret Circles will be out 2/10. Secret Vengeance probably 2/11. The Last RJ novel fall 2011, and Nightworld in 2012 (pure synchronicity on that year). Synchronicity? I thought "there are no more coincidences"! secret histories releases question - t4terrific - 10-08-2009 Bluesman Mike Lindner Wrote:Synchronicity? I thought "there are no more coincidences"! The horse is dead with that one. secret histories releases question - fpw - 10-08-2009 swandy Wrote:Paul (uh, Mr. Wilson) - are there "tweaks" in the other reprinted novels in the Adversary series that have yet to be released?Very, very minor in Reborn. You'd hardly notice. Minor-moderate on Reprisal because cellphones didn't exist at the time it was written and had to be addressed, plus Glaeken's (minor) part had to be reshaped and shaded to coincide with what's been happening elsewhere. secret histories releases question - noturbizniss - 10-09-2009 fpw Wrote:Very, very minor in Reborn. On that note, would you recommend that I wait for the new editions of reprisal and Nightworld? I want to read them in order, but I'm having withdrawal from your books! Will I enjoy reprisal and Nightworld more if I wait to read them at the correct spots in the secret history? secret histories releases question - Srem - 10-09-2009 If what Paul says about there only being relatively minor tweaks in both novels is true, I wouldn't torture myself waiting for the revised versions. If you already have copies of Reprisal and Nightworld, by all means read away. I've read only the original unrevised Adversary Cycle collection and haven't had too many problems putting the pieces together. Never wait to enjoy something; each day you are able to take a breath is one more day you could be reading awesome literary works from 'The Man.' secret histories releases question - KRW - 10-09-2009 Srem Wrote:If what Paul says about there only being relatively minor tweaks in both novels is true, I wouldn't torture myself waiting for the revised versions. I would read "Reprisal right now though, seeing as it's partly going down during the latest RJ book. Several little tidbits in "Ground Zero" refer directly to "Reprisal". I suspect "Reprisal" will finish up during the next RJ book and it would leave a reader clueless on some things if they hadn't read it. I would suggest also reading "The Touch" now too. Lots of goodies being thrown our way through RJ via the Adversary Cycle. secret histories releases question - natalya - 10-09-2009 I remember in REBORN that Brother Robert said that he had met up "With the last two members of a cult of self-multilating monks". I am assuming they are the Nara Kao Black Wind Sect. Will we have confirmation of this in the revised REBORN? secret histories releases question - KRW - 10-09-2009 natalya Wrote:I remember in REBORN that Brother Robert said that he had met up "With the last two members of a cult of self-multilating monks". That's probably all of the confirmation you'll get because most of the tie ins "are" so vague. A line here, a line there... fun stuff! IIRC, FPW has already confirmed it on this board somewhere. |
