Rambo 5? - KRW - 12-08-2008 wdg3rd Wrote:I'm pretty sure that "Rocky Balboa" was Stallone's farewell to the Rocky series, and I suspect the new Rambo movie will be the same for that one. I truly doubt there will be another. He closed the Rambo series with his last movie the same as he did with the Rocky series. At least I hope so. They're both at a point that they can end gracefully. The whole thing about the computer simulation was just too dumb for me to get over. If I'm not mistaken the simulation was supposed to be prime for prime. Mason Dixon was supposed to be murdalizing every guy he fought in the division and they were reaching back to the most recent fighter who would have given him a good fight. I doubt the simulation was supposed to be versus a 60 year old Rocky. The funny thing about the guy who played Mason Dixon is he is a real fighter and in his very next fight after this movie he got beaten up by a 41 year old. David Morrell mentions it on his site here. |
