Midnight Mass - The Movie...? - remylass - 08-23-2004
I really didn't like Anno Dracula, but I did like Midnight Mass(the book). However, I saw the movie first, and then I tried hard not to picture the characters as they were in the movie. I like to imagine my own pictures of them.
I did enjoy seeing FPW in the film, though.

That is two people who didn't like Anno Dracula. Without spoiling anything can you elaborate? Is there anyone out there who did like it?

Well, I did pick up the book to get a better picture, insight & clarification into the story. What I got out of the movie was "ancient evil being is released by unknowing greedy Nazis. This release summons an ancient gaurdian/Knights templar to "The Keep" to re-imprison the evil. The Evil hates the fact that the Nazis are in his home country and wants revenge on them and the entire world." Great stuff!! Picked up the book hoping for further explanations of the ancient battle and to find out just what "The Keep" was and learn who the hell Glenn really was and how the evil being had become imprisoned to begin with."
I was not let down! Great story!

Anyway, let's get back to topic. I haven't read Midnight Mass yet. So I can't tell anything, but actor F.Paul Wilson will stimulate my curiosity. A few people said "worst", but I want to watch him in the film.
