The Repairman Jack Companion - Fenian1916 - 01-18-2008

I can't wait to read this. This made Friday even better.

I can't wait 18 months!

The Repairman Jack Companion - saynomore - 01-18-2008

I had to look up Hank Wagner to see why he was chosen. I see that he did THE STEPHEN KING UNIVERSE with two other authors. And some interviews and such. This I found in a Google search (forgive me, Webby).

My question is: Don't we have a board member who knows RJ like the back of his hand? Didn't said board member do the FAQ section of this page? Isn't this member the ultimate RJ geek in terms of RJ knowledge and RJ books (including hard to find editions)?

I speak of Aphew, of course. Sure, we have our tiny grudges, but I don't begrudge him his RJ expertise. Maybe Hank Wagner (whose NAME is surely needed to please the publishers) could use some help in his research. After all, THE STEPHEN KING UNIVERSE needed three researchers. I'd hate to see THE REPAIRMAN JACK COMPANION not get the proper geek treatment it deserves.

Just my two cents. No change needed, thanks. Smile

AC

P.S. In either case, put me down for two copies of the book. Boy, I bet that 18 months at the earliest would fly right by with two people working on the book. JMHO.

Hank was not "chosen." He's a long-time reader who went to the publishers and worked a deal. I had nothing to do with this other than saying I'd cooperate.

This is seriously exciting. Throw down another prospective fan who is going to put themselves into cryogenic freezing for the next 18+ months...

I am also anxious to see it. The way time disappears on me, 18 months won't be a long wait at all. Hmm... I wonder if there is any way it could be titled "The Compendium of Jack". Big Grin

Just for the record...Believe it or not.... I'm a recent member of YouTube (owned by the Big G). Lately I've been cutting the Mountain View Gang a lot of slack because of YouTube being an important factor in fact-checking the Lamestream Media's election coverage and because of Vijay Boyapati - a former Google software engineer now Director of Operation Live Free or Die.
