There was one in the early 80s, I think. I can't remember the name, but I remember one scene in particular where the killer looked over a table of potential murder weapons and picked up and unfolded a paper clip to do-in one unsuspecting teen. I think he was called the Breather or something. I distinctly recall his heavy breathing.

That was Student Bodies. An excellent spoof of teen slasher flicks way before Scary Movie and its sequels. Remember the flashing on-screen body count?

I agree with the choices of Tremors, Ghostbusters, Gremlins.. Someone mentioned the 80's, and there were TONS of great (ok maybe no so much) horror/comedy films made back then. Two B Films that come to mind:
- Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama
- Chopping Mall
If anyone out there besides me has seen these films I'd be very impressed. I'll have to give this more thought....
