Paul has gone to great lengths to be sure no one mistook Rasalom for Satan, and yet "Satan returns to devour" begins the third sentence in the Wikipedia entry. Geez, when was Satan here before? And where in any of Paul's books does he refer to Kolabati as a 150 year old witch?

At any rate, I wouldn't read NIGHTWORLD based on this Wikipedia entry, especially after struggling through the confusing list of characters.

I thought the writer might be foreign, but he certainly could be a very young person.

I think that it could potentially be a younger person as it reads like a book report.

That might not be a bad thing, though. If one curious younger soul reads it and thinks, "Sounds cool--I'll check it out!", there's a potential Paulcat right there.

Referring to the Adversary Cycle as a morality tale is the big tip off.

Pure 10th grade. Smile

It's one thing to write a book report. It's another thing to post it on Wikipedia. That's hubris.

Maybe so, but is that bad? Isn't a 10th grader pondering the issues a good thing? We were all boots once.

Could be, Maggers, but isn't it possible that a young soul serious enough about writing to want his-or-her stuff to reach an audience might be a pro in the making? I think young writers should be encouraged. Don't you?

Allrighty, we all agree that it's not that good. :p

My take is....

Either it was a kid who has not yet fully developed his writing ability and didn't fully grasp the story or it was someone with a limited education (aka total spastic) that liked the story so much he attempted to write about it in an arena that he has no business being in.

At least the guy (or gal) cared enough to try.

Since I always root for the underdog little guy, Ill be sticking with the Spaz. Big Grin

That's right, ccos! You advance by trying. =Never= any shame in that. You don't try...later for you, pup.
