But I bought one. ![]() It would irk me to think that there is an RJ that I haven't read. Dogooder - fpw - 11-07-2006 This fellow hit me up at NECon to do a Jack short-short for a broadside. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadside_%28printing%29) Since I'd never been involved with anything like that before, I did a piece for him. It's the type of thing -- illustrated with a woodcut and all -- that's designed to be framed. It's a very small edition of a very small story. For completist nuts only. (That's not a pejorative -- I used to be one myself.) Dogooder - Scott Hajek - 11-07-2006 fpw Wrote:For completist nuts only. (That's not a pejorative -- I used to be one myself.) It's killing me with internal debate on this one. Being a completist nut, I want one. Trying to be more responsible with the family finances, I'm reluctant. Will this story likely be reprinted? Or could this be the only time the story sees print? Dogooder - fpw - 11-07-2006 Scott Hajek Wrote:It's killing me with internal debate on this one. Being a completist nut, I want one. I may incorporate it into a future novel but I can't promise. Dogooder - Sourdoughs - 11-07-2006 fpw Wrote: ... For completist nuts only. Dogooder - Auskar - 11-07-2006 Yeah, but what's a "broadside"...? ...I looked it up in my handy dandy blue dictionary and it says, "a large sheet of paper printed on one side"... and then it goes on, but that is the important stuff. Maybe it sounds silly, but I didn't know what a "broadside" was, at least in this context. A short story, a novella, an essay, a novel -- I know what those are. I never heard anyone say, "I'm going to go write a broadside today." Dogooder - Sourdoughs - 11-09-2006 Auskar Wrote:Yeah, but what's a "broadside"...? I'd never heard of a "broadside" before either. I'm guessing it's referring to the method of printing (like poster, book, pamphlet, flyer, etc) rather than length of words. -MarcC Dogooder - Paul R - 11-10-2006 fpw Wrote:I doubt I'll have a 4th short story collectionCan I ask why?
