Saw this such a long time ago and found it wanting

Really wanted to like it (having met him) but just could not

He wasn't much better in Two for the Money, either (here I think the director
was ineffective and he needs to have a director that can force another A Time to Kill performance out of him

Barely worth a first try. Too many logic jumps, coincidences and far-fetched plot contrivances. Truly a "check your brain at the door" movie. It would've been much more believeable if the audience wasn't forced to believe that Penelope Cruz was a doctor with the WHO. More like an airhead with the HUH?

There was just no coherence to the various parts of the adventure. Did I enjoy it? Yes. There were parts that were fun and/or funny. However, would I recommend it? No. I don't mind some self-torture now and then, but I don't believe in subjecting friends or family to bad taste.

Yet, seeing Dwight Schrute (sp) (aka Rainn Wilson) from "The Office" in an adventure movie was a trip. He's a pretty good actor.

the series of books with the main character or characters depending on which you read, were better.
