This season is nothing more than a soap opera with witty zingers and one-liners thrown in to spice things up. If they don't do something fast I'll soon not care whether we get a 4th season. How can the mysteries be so much deeper and interesting in High School than they are in college? If you break down each episodes mystery this season it all amounts to absolutely nothing. The only character who isn't going completely against type (or what we were built to expect) is Dean "the jerk" Cassavantes. I could go on and on about how much this season is sucking, but I better not. They need to do something quick or the audience that loves the show will abandon it just like I'm tempted to do. I see your sad face and I'll raise you a mystified  and an angry  (about VM, not about your sad face, which I have nothing but respect for) Veronica Mars - Scott Miller - 12-07-2006 Last night I finished the Veronica marathon; 22 episodes in 2 weeks-whew. Overall, a very good show, but who is she glad to see at the end? Just kidding, I don't want to know. I thought they did a nice job of maintaining the whodunnit suspense all the way to the end(I didn't figure it out until they revealed it), the writing was generally sharp and free of many cliches, and the acting was generally solid. I'm looking forward to the second season, but at a more sedate pace. Veronica Mars - Scott Miller - 12-31-2006 I'm about halfway through Season 2 and I agree with Don B.'s take; it starts a bit weak but is really gathering momentum. I'm mainly posting now because I had a two-by-four-upside-my-head moment while watching the other night; Veronica has a lot in common with RJ. Duh! |
