Rome (HBO) (spoilers) - ShadowLord - 11-22-2005

ROFL spoiler alert was in the title page so its allowed..

As for killing Caesar what a ugly way to go -- not a few quick deadly strokes but a large number of shallow wounds..

Not a fan of watching Caesar twitch on the ground befor he died..

Honestly if you didnt watch this series - you missed out on some great TV. They haven't really focused to much on fighting -- only in the first episode was there any large battle scene and it was done farily well I thought.. however when the put Pullo in the arena -- my god what a fight scene... among the best of any I have ever seen.

Rome (HBO) (spoilers) - Maggers - 01-08-2007

I'm a little late to the party on this one, but I'm catching up. The second season of ROME will begin soon. Tonight, I stumbled on the first 3 episodes of the first year. It was a good time to sit and watch, and so I did. Very enjoyable!

I'll catch up on the rest of the episodes before the second season begins.

I love that the two of the lead women have curly red hair (yup, I'm deeply superficial, I am) Big Grin. Atia is one foxy, cunning, and treacherous babe, and I've only seen 3 episodes. I can't imagine what other trouble she'll cause.

I'm caught up now. I've seen the entire first season. ROME is the best television series I've seen, ever. Much as I love LOST, ROME has a richness and depth that no other series has ever achieved, IMO. It is stupendous.

The second season starts tomorrow night. I can't wait.

Pretty good season premier. Picked up right where it left off. I expect Vorenas to be a little cranky this season.

SPOILERS....

Do you think his kids and his sister-in-law are really dead? I suspect they were sold into slavery and he may meet up with them in later years.

I think you've hit it spot on. It was a shocking moment when the guy claimed to have done what he claimed to have done. Rome generally doesn't pull any punches and I think they would have shown the act had it happened.
