I liked her better when she wasn't such a "serious" and somewhat anorexic actress. She was great in "The Rocketeer"

A criminally underrated film. Tons o' fun. I watch it once a year.

Jennifer Connelly went to high school down the block from where my ex-husband and I lived in Brooklyln Heights. He used to see her with her classmates when he walked the dogs, and she was a knockout even as a child. She stood out from all the others.

This is a rare case of where both the original comic book and the movie were fantastic. There were differences, but it being a Disney movie, you couldn't very well have a pin-up model.

I saw the movie opening day and have the entire run of comics. I just wish there were more of both.

If only I could justify the purchase of the prop replica helmet:

*snort* let's see, daredevil costume is exactly like it was in the comics. Bullseye has the exact same costume as the comics. Kingpin is a little more dangerous..... at least Stan kept it similar.

Scott Hajek Wrote:Finally saw Daredevil. Will someone please help pay for my therapy? That was one awful movie. The costumes: bad. The stunts: bad. The plot: bad. The editing: bad. The logic: non-existent. The acting: so bad it's off the scale.

If Daredevil isn't Ben Affleck's worst movie, then I hope I never see his worst. I couldn't imagine worse torture.

Daredevil: The Director's Cut - KRW - 08-25-2005

Well, I liked it. Probably because I didn't expect much. I was only introduced to Dare Devil once or twice in my youth. So I knew who he was, but nearly nothing about him. I can imagine, if it was based upon the comiks, that it sucked. Hollywood seems to let everyone down. But I viewed it as a super hero I barely knew and liked it. I'm probably the target market for Hollywood these days. I really liked Bullseye! I will say I felt that the acting was forced at times, but it wasn't enough to spoil the movie for me.

The costume in the comics was bright red for both Daredevil and Elektra. Bullseye wore a helmet/mask not a "scar" on his head. Kingpin was the only redeeming factor in the movie until the end battle when he was screaming like a little girl.

Sure, Hollywood takes liberties with the comic book heroes, but on the whole, Daredevil was a poor attempt.

PLAN 9 was a bad movie??!!

I liked Daredevil. However, I think the Director's Cut is a much better version.

BTW, does anyone remember the appearance by Daredevil in one of the Hulk TV movies? He was never mentioned by name, but it was him.

The unnamed Daredevil was played by the same guy that was the star of the motorcycle version of Knight Rider. I think Matt Murdock was the attorney for David Bruce Banner in "The Trial of the Incredible Hulk."

Also, do you remember Thor in one of the Hulk TV movies?

But, Daredevil with Ben Affleck still sucks. Sorry, Jim.
