It's Ken Leung. He also played the hilarious karaoke machine salesman in Keeping the Faith.

Miles is no saint. He wasn't particularly kind to the banged up pilot. When Kate asked Daniel, the spacy physicist, to put his gun away, Daniel replied "I I can't because, uh, Miles, uh, would kill me." As the helicopter began to go down, Daniel was crying out "no, no," when he was supposed to jump. Miles just took him and shoved him out saying "hey, genius, GO!"
On the other hand, as the copter was going down and the redhead anthropologist couldn't find her vest (that all important bullet proof vest), Miles told her to take his. Don't know what that means for Miles in the future.
I remember him pushing Daniel Farraday out of the copter, but I must've missed when he took Charlotte's vest. Damn. Good thing they always show the previous episode right before the new one.

Miles said it's under your seat. Charlotte said she couldn't find it. Miles said, "take mine," leaving Miles without a vest, or so it would seem.
That's why I mentioned it, as a counterpoint to the bulk of Miles' antisocial behavior. He gave her his bullet proof vest when she couldn't find hers, and that saved her life.

That's a possibility. We know Michael is coming back to the series soon. What better, nearby place to come from than the freighter.

Reportedly they will be squeezing out another 6 additional episodes of Lost now that the strike is over. 14 for the season, not bad.

A couple of things I noticed from 'Confirmed Dead'...
When Hurley mentions where the shack is, both Locke and Ben exchange a look which (to me, at least) says, 'How the hell does he know about the shack?!' I think this adds credence to the theory that 'The Face' that looks out at Hurley in 'The Beginning Of The End' is not Locke's.
The other thing was twice in this episode, when asked about the number of people in the helicopter, the answer given was 'Four, including me.' Pretty much word for word, if memory serves. The first was Dan, the second Charlotte. Seems like the only reason this would be driven home to us, would be to put us off the scent. In this case, the scent being that maybe more than four were on the herlicopter?
