Now I know why. There was no fat to cut off of that one. Very lean episode.

That's why I have Tivo. It automatically records the extra few minutes. Big Grin

Am I the only one that called the Oceanic Flight's phone number at the bottom of the screen? And you call yourself fans. Bah!

(It's just a recorded message saying that they're sorry for your families loss, etc. etc. and that updates will be made daily.)

And why was there a polar bear in the desert? And does anyone else think that Oceanic may have something to do with the island?

And how does fate play into this? Locke loses his kidney to his father, loses his ability to walk because of his father, ends up on the island and can walk again, then gets shot by Ben because he no longer has the kidney survives. What if this is all just a cruel joke by fate?

Marc, you da man! I have to find that number and call Oceanic.

I'm stuck on Penny's father. His company may own Oceanic, who knows. When Mr. Armageddeon (I know that's not his name but I like it) offered Hurley an upgrade in hospital accommodations, I think he would have put Hurley away...forever...if Hurley had taken the offer.

Everything is connected on this show, every little detail. That bit about Locke's missing kidney saving his life was just awesome.

Is it okay to post the number? I hope so since it's part of the LOST universe and doesn't actually call an actual business or residence. If it gets deleted I'll PM you the number Maggers.

I scribbled it down now, just in case. Thanks, my friend!

Best line ever in an episode is Ben's last... but it was the subtle eyebrow waggle that sold it. If you've still got it on TiVO or tape, check it out.

Ben is the greatest TV villain ever!

That was a great episode. The more I think about it, the four that leave the island might contain Juliet. Don't forget she wants to get back to her sister.
I also am impressed at the fact that the loss of Locke's kidney to save his father, saves Locke's life.
Ben denies that he knows what the black cloud is. We all know he is a liar of huge proportions.
The devil is in the details, and LOST is here again to make us think and speculate. The surprises come, and we marvel at whether we did indeed see it coming.

You are so right, Scott! Every time Ben opens his mouth I cringe for fear he will convince someone to do something that will look like it's good for the person but will only profit Ben. And it usually ends up killing or maiming the other person. Ben is phenomenal.

Do you think you'll ever see the actor, Michael Emerson, in another role and NOT think of Ben? Do you think he will become so closely associated with Ben that he'll be like George Costanza of Seinfeld fame. I can't remember the actor who played George Costanza, and he can't seem to get away from George Costanza.

Ben is on the same level as the villainy of Hannibal Lecter. When Crawford says to Starling, "You don't want Hannibal in your head," he may as well be saying,"You don't want Ben in your head." It's always the subtle villains that are the scariest. I, too, cringe when Ben gets into people's head. I scream at the tv: JUST KILL HIM. WHY ARE YOU LISTENING TO HIM? AAAAHHH!

AC (hoarse from screaming)

P.S. Did anyone else catch that "Tell my sister that I love her" was a signal? I gave myself two pats on the back for catching that one. Haven't caught anything before that, but I did catch that one.
