I'm reading Wheels Within Wheels now, part of the The LaNague series...........great science fiction there.and Dydeetown! What was your first? - Lon - 09-25-2006 Great suggestions, and thanks for the welcome. The LaNague series sounds like it would be right up my alley. I never knew there even was such a thing as a Libertarian Futurist Society, or that they had a book award, but now that I do, I'm intrigued! What was your first? - Wufei74 - 09-26-2006 My mom had picked up The Haunted Air somewhere, and it was sitting in our bathroom. I was never much of a reader, but when sitting on the toilet, you sometimes need something to do. So I just so happened to pick up this book, and flip to a random page. Well, I read how Jack stabbed someone in the eye with a fork! So I decided to read the whole thing and have been hooked ever since. I just finished Infernal in about 2 days, and placed an overnight order on the Hardback of Harbringers. And thanks to you fpw, I've become addicted to reading. I read the whole Harry Potter series(just because I enjoyed the movies) because of you. Hell, I've even read some Anne Rice since then. However, all the writers in the world didn't make me feel as much emotion towards words on paper like you did during Infernal. Oh yeah, and I make a living playing games, and when I'm bored I occasionally use the alias "Repairman Jack." I started a trend in the name of Jack in the internet world. The main character is a sort of futuristic Phillip Marlowe. Great book! Ken V.
