I know it's hard... but pick one!

Mine is Raiders Of the lost Ark. It pretty much has everything I want in a movie. I always wished for that kind of adventure...

Once again...

"You can see now?"
"Yes...I can see now."

CITY LIGHTS--Charles Chaplin

(Lightning and thunder)
"Who's the fella owns this shithole? You, fat man, speak up."

"I own this establishment, I bought it from Greeley."

"You boys better stand back."

"Now, hold on . . ."

(Boom!)

"Well, mister, you just shot an unarmed man!"

"Well, he should have armed himself, if he was gonna decorate his place with my friend!"

"You'd be Will Muny, killer of women and children!"

"Yes, I've killed women and children. I've killed just about everything that walks or crawls at one time or another, and I've come to kill you, Little Bill, for what you did to Ned!"

See CITY LIGHTS, Libby. Albert Einstein and his wife Mileva were Chaplin's guests at the premiere. And Chaplin saw the great physicist wiping his eyes at the end. Trust me on this. You will never forget this film.

Not surprising, since I'm probably older than your mom!

My mother's favorite movie was "To Kill a Mockingbird." She identified with the young girl, Scout, since she grew up a tomboy in Arkansas. My female chocolate labrador was named Scout before I adopted her.

Who areyour mom's favorite male actors? My mom was crazy abotut Sean Connery and James Garner. She wrote her only fan letter to James Garner when he was in the hospital for triple-bypass surgery. He replied in his own hand, too.

Interesting post on James Garner by New York Joe. I have a friend who works at Bel Air Country Club in Los Angeles where all the movie stars belong and play golf. I once asked him who the nicest guy in the club was, because I know a lot of them have huge egos and can be very demanding. Without hesitation he said James Garner. Apparently, he never has anything bad to say and is kind to EVERYONE.

That's good to hear, maibusch. Reason to respect Garner beyond his acting talent.

Thanks for the post.

I'm not surprised. Unlike many Hollywood stars, he is still married to the same wife. He still has his home in Norman, Oklahoma. I believe he is part Native American, but his real name is James Baumgarner, so he is also part German.
