So, there's room for all of us as extras right? movie news - Automatic Jack - 12-10-2008 Relativity's IMDB page looks very promising. Even their so-so movies seem like ones that people paid to see in theaters anyway. To note a selection of the list: # Pineapple Express (2008) ... Production Company (in association with) # The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008) ... Production Company (in association with) # Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) ... Production Company (in association with) # Hancock (2008) ... Production Company (in association with) # Wanted (2008) ... Production Company # Atonement (2007) ... Production Company # 3:10 to Yuma (2007) ... Production Company # Evan Almighty (2007) ... Production Company (in association with) # The Pursuit of Happyness (2006) ... Production Company (in association with) # Smokin' Aces (2006) ... Production Company # Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006) ... Production Company # Monster House (2006) ... Production Company (in association with) "Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship." movie news - colburn0004 - 12-10-2008 Wow! I'm gonna reserve myself and not get too excited but this definitely sounds very good for the movie. I'm not too fond of many of theyre movies but Smokin' aces and hellboy 2 were pretty good action movies that were good IMO. movie news - cobalt - 12-10-2008 That is encouraging news..... movie news - Wapitikev - 12-11-2008 The Chris Morgan connection didn't hurt this deal...Wanted(2008), Fast and Furious(2009), Tokyo Drift(2006)...all were produced by Relativity and all are Chris Morgan scripts. This announcement is great news...better news than I've read in a long, long time. Here's why: -Their action movies (more often than not) make money. -They've worked with Ryan Reynolds before. -Their The Holiday with Kate Winslett...one of my Gia hopefuls. -Hellboy II: Guillermo Del Toro...'nuf-said -Hellboy II: Doug Jones as Momma Rakosh and/or Scarlip=AWESOME -They have a number of serious dramas in their filmography to go with their successful action and comedy films...there are very few "dogs" there. -They have a number of other "big" projects coming up in addition to Fast&Furious...Ron Pearlman and Nicholas Cage in Season of the Witch, Nichole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz, Daniel Day Lewis, etc. in Nine, Julia Roberts, Clive Owen, Paul Giamati in Duplicity, Mila Jovovich, Tim Olyphant, Steve Zahn in A Perfect Getaway, Jake Gylenhall, Toby McGuire and Natalie Portman in Brothers, Clive Owen and Naomi Watts' The International, Bruce Willis and Julianne Moore in Morgan's Summit, Will Smith's Seven Pounds -They have 10 films slated for 2009 and only 5, so far, in 2010...RJ1 could very well fit there. The anticipation has begun. -Wapitikev movie news - Sam - 12-11-2008 This bit of news should have came with a prescription for Valium. It has seriously damaged my calm. But damned if I don't welcome it!! movie news - NickelobLight - 12-15-2008 Wow. As Waki said, some big name movies. Let's hope it happens. movie news - bones weep tedium - 12-16-2008 I was looking through the Relativity entry on IMDb, and I saw a film on their list that jogged a memory of something I was reading about a while ago --- Starfighter, the remake of The Last Starfighter. Has anybody heard anything about this movie? movie news - Ken Valentine - 12-18-2008 bones weep tedium Wrote:I was looking through the Relativity entry on IMDb, and I saw a film on their list that jogged a memory of something I was reading about a while ago --- Starfighter, the remake of The Last Starfighter.Haven't heard a thing, but -- like virtually all remakes -- I can't imagine how it could be anywhere near as good as the original. How could you beat Robert Preston as Centauri, much less Lance Guest and Catherine Mary Stewart as Alex and Maggie? I suppose the special effects could be improved upon, but not the characters or the story. Ken V. |
