Stingray vs the Equalizer - Mr_Falcon - 01-20-2005 RJ often mentions the Equalizer. He is upset at this fictional representation of what he does, because people assume he does it for free 'like that guy on TV'. However, I see few similarities between RJ and the Equalizer. however, here is another TV Character from a short-lived show in the late 80's called Stingray. Actually, Stingray has many similar traits to Jack. He is a mysterious man with no identity. He fixes problems. He alwyas demands payment (in a very very different form than RJ) He is inventive like RJ, although he is a bit more physical being a marital arts expert. Does anyone else remember this? Stingray vs the Equalizer - Matthew Smith - 01-20-2005 Yeah, I remember that show. I think it ran on NBC back in the days when MIAMI VICE ruled the airwaves. That's about all I really remember about it, though. Other than the car. It was a really cool car. I always get a chuckle out of the EQUALIZER references in RJ. I really liked that show. --M Stingray vs the Equalizer - KRW - 01-20-2005 Mr_Falcon Wrote:RJ often mentions the Equalizer. That show was so much better than The Equilizer. Stingray vs the Equalizer - Mr_Falcon - 01-21-2005 Keith the Elder Wrote:Nick Mancuso was Stingray. That show was so much better than The Equilizer. Agree on both points. Do you see the similarities between him and Jack? Stingray vs the Equalizer - Keith the Elder - 01-21-2005 Mr_Falcon Wrote:Agree on both points. Absolutely; His anonomity (?spelling, people not knowing who he is) Referrals by previous clients Adaptibility when the plan goes awry I especially liked when he told prospective clients that as part of his fee he may request a favor, one you cannot turn down!!!! Stingray vs the Equalizer - LVerner - 04-24-2005 From Thrillingdetective.com: "The short-lived series had class and style. One of the nice touches was that whenever anyone attempted to run Ray's fingerprints, the match would come back either as someone he clearly was not, or as "Classified" by the D.O.D. When his plate was run, it would come back as registered to the White House or the Governor of the State." Didn't Jack have his plate registered to a famous mobster?
