When I saw it the first time, decades ago, I was young and impressionable. I loved and was scared to death by the episode with Agnes Moorehead as a Western pioneer-like woman alone, fighting tiny little aliens. No spoilers here! The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Hammer House on Horror.....well, anyway, The Twilight Zone is my favorite series. Now I have DVDs, from vol.1 to vol.27. My favorite episode is "NIGHTMARE AT 20,000 FEET". William Shatner, his role is acrophobia man, and he find monster on the plane's wing. Also, it was made into movie. In the movie, his role was John Lithgow. Movie version was very scary. Music by Jerry Goldsmith, that was awesome. When I saw it in theater, I jumped from seat.   Get the recorders ready - Scott Miller - 12-28-2004 Maggers Wrote:Thanks for the head's up! What's your favorite episode? Well were talking about a show that I watched when I was around five years old, so I don't remember them all that clearly, but I recall the episode where the old man is building a brick wall around his wife. Another one where a man couldn't leave a city. Another one that stands out is when a man could freeze everyone but he could still move about. It has been so long since I've seen them that I'm happier than a cat at a mouse dance that the marathon is on. I'm envious of Kenji's collection. Dead End is a little movie with a TZ feel that I enjoyed. The man use the watch, and he can stop the time. That end was very funny, but a little bit scary. Get the recorders ready - DaveStrorm - 12-28-2004 My favorite is the one where the guy loves to read but he never has enough time. Then he wakes up to find he's the only one left in the world and he can read all he wants. But then he breaks his glasses and he can't see well enough to read without them. MAN! That would suck. I also like the one (I think it's called The Howling Man) where the devil is locked up in a monastery. Kenji, I envy you as well. I would love to have the whole series on DVD. That was my favorite one also! I felt so bad for that guy. All he ever wanted was time to read and no one would let him. Well, actually, my collection is not perfect. As I mentioned, I have a DVDs from vol.1 to vol.27. But from vol.28 is not available in Japan. That reason was a poor sale in Japan. I want to buy all DVDs.... But you can get almost DVDs from Amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/series/-/244/ref=pd_sr_ec_ser_d/002-4154593-2635203 Get the recorders ready - Ken Valentine - 12-28-2004 DaveStrorm Wrote:My favorite is the one where the guy loves to read but he never has enough time. The title was Time Enough At Last. He did appearances in a lot of episodes of Twilight Zone. Mr.Dingle The strong, Printer's Devil, Prime mover. BTW, a long time ago('60s), when the Twilight Zone broadcasted in Japan, the title was Mystery Zone. Maybe almost Japanese people didn't know this word, "Twilight". I think broadcasting station arranged that title. |
