I know we've got our fair share of Batman fans on the board so I was wondering if anyone is following the new Batman books by Scott Snyder. I really like his American Vampire series and am intrigued by his handling of The Dark Knight. I have the trade, Gates Of Gotham, and am awaiting the first trade of the new Batman but can't seem to locate the last few issues of Detective Comics when Snyder first manned the helm.

I haven't read any of his yet, I am guessing that this is the new DCU? If so, I haven't really read anything after Flashpoint. Don't know about you guys, but I am tired of DC rebooting things.

It probably is but I have been unable to figure out the DC universe so I attempt to find story arcs that seem fairly self-contained and not worry about the bigger picture. I am more curious about this project because they are starting over at issue # 1 and I like the author and it seems a bit more grounded than the multiverse stuff.

My favorite Batman comic is "Whatever Happened To The Caped Crusader?" by Neil Gaiman. Very touching story.

I started with the first 2 or 3 of many of the new DC titles - and they are a great time to hop on (especially the Superman books)
I think the batman ones are OK, they are available electronically and prices reduce if you wait a sort while to download them
Certainly worth a look
For the first time ever I'm reading more DC than Marvel
