On the copy of the, "The Secret History of the World," page that I have it says that Reborn, The Touch, and Reprisal will be back in print before too long.
My question is is FPW re writing these novels or just having them reprinted? I just read Reborn, so I am wondering if I am going to have to re read this new re printed book?
My next question is when is the next Repairman Jack book coming out? The one after Fatal Error. I am sure there is a thread about it, but I am not sure where it is. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

OK!! I am responding to my own question. What FPW books have been re written or re released. Here is my situation. I have finished all of the Repairman Jack novels and now I am waiting on the new and last one.
Now, I am trying to catch up on the whole secret history of the world. So far I have read The Keep and Reborn. I have been going to the library to get these books and they are all old versions. Should I just go buy the newer versions? I appreciate any feedback from anyone. THANKS!!!

As to the first question, I will let someone else answer because I am sure I will screw it up. I believe the 3 books in question will have slight revisions made to them but nothing major. I could be wrong.
The next RJ book after "Fatal Error" is title "The Dark At the End" and it is close. There are lots of threads about it, Gauntlet was taking pre-orders on it and FPW keeps us updated as to what is going on with it. It is scheduled to be released this fall. Then followed by a heavily revised version of "Nightworld".

Read the original books and then read the new versions. Twice the enjoyment then.
With the exception of "Nightworld" I don't think the revised versions of any of the books will be changed enough to really ruin anything, I think the revisions mostly deal with technology changes (cell phones etc) and characters integration.
As for "Nightworld" it should have some heavy revisions (like Jack and Glakean having met before that book, Rasalom and Jack...etc) and I can't wait for the revised edition. But I love the original as well.

Thanks for responding and I am so glad that I found this board. I stumbled onto "The Tomb," last summer and got hooked immediately. I must now know the whole history and read everything associated with it.

I do believe the above info is correct. In the meantime, Black Wind is a great but underrated novel that connects to some of the later books in the series, and there are some connected stories in the 3 short stories collections if you need a fix between books.
The Jack short stories were recently collectd and released electronically, and I think the whole collections are also electronic (at least Soft and Others is, I assume the later ones are also). There are non-Jack secret history stories in the books.

I don't think there are any substantial changes to REBORN, or REPRISAL from the original, but THE TOUCH has had some changes made to it -- except for NIGHTWORLD, about the only changes made were done to update the novels -- so they wouldn't be dated by technological or cultural references.
For example, in THE TOMB, Jack originally watched BetaMax video tapes. In the revised novel it was changed to DVD's.
And in the original novel Nellie Patton mentioned watching Johnny Carson. Well, Johnny Carson has long since retired so that was changed as well.
Just a few words here and there.
THE TOUCH had slightly greater changes because it originally was closer to the Vietnam era where the Dat Tay Vao came from.
So in the original, THE TOUCH, Sylvia's husband was a friend of Ba's, and when it was revised, Ba's friend became Sylvia's father-in-law.

Specifically the RJ novel BY THE SWORD.
After reading BY THE SWORD, I just HAD to go back and re-read BLACK WIND. It was just too cool how one sentence from BLACKWIND enabled Paul to pick up the story in BY THE SWORD.

What os the deal with "Sibs?" In one book, it is associated with the "Secret History of the World." In another book, it is not associated with it? Is it or is it not??

Sibs is another of my favorites. Before the RJ series it wouldn't have seemed to be connected to the Secret History of the World, but became connected through some of the RJ series books.
To the best of my knowledge it hasn't been revised and, like Black Wind, would be a great stand-alone read while waiting for the last RJ novel.
