Compliments to Mr. Wilson - swandy - 11-22-2010

Dear Mr. Wilson,
I have been a long-time reader and admirer of your works (first one was the original version of "The Keep") and I must say that your participation in these forums is very refreshing.
Most authors have websites and many have forums, but from the ones that I read on a regular basis, it seems that you are one of the few (if not the only major author) that actually posts and answers questions.
So a big "thank you". I am sure that most, if not all, of your other readers feel the same.
Sincerely,
Steve Wandy

Ditto to that, Steve.

I vividly remember when I was a newbie and Paul answered something I had posted. I nearly swooned. That hasn't stopped, by the way. Big Grin I still get a thrill when Paul responds directly.

Oh Maggers, Maggers. I've told you, play harder to get! But do you listen? No, off you go and marry an Australian Smile

How you both doing by the way?

It =is= nice to see an author who talks with his or her Loyal Readers. Joe Haldeman and Nancy Kress do too.

Peter, you are marvelously silly, a trait I greatly admire in adults.

Thanks for asking. We are doing famously. Liam is adapting to wild and crazy New York City like a duck to water. I'm a lucky girl. I waited a long time for the right guy to come along. It was worth it!

I certainly feel the same. Paul really is the coolest, which is pretty darn incredible considering what a great writer he is as well.

I giggled like a maniac the first time I got a direct response from The Man. Big Grin

I'm a little more composed these days but I know just what you mean, girlfirend. Wink

Silly? Me? OK, maybe a bit Smile I was wondering where you were going to live, wether the US or Oz but youve answered my (unspoken) question.

And, yes, I will admit to a frisson of excitement when the estimable Doctor Wilson answered a query of mine, even though he basically (but kindly) said I was being dumb! And there was no, I repeat, NO swooning!
