Devil - tenebroust - 09-23-2010 Anyone seen this one yet? I have a perverse desire to see it even though I know it is going to suck and have some kind of stupid explanation/ending that will leave me hugely disappointed. Devil - Alvin Fox - 09-24-2010 I enjoyed it. Maybe it's because Shyamalan only came up with the story and it was written by someone else and directed by another guy. It does have a couple of twists but nothing that really comes out of left field. But maybe it was just me. The woman sitting behind me in the theater kept gasping at revelations. Although it was advertised as five people trapped in an elevator the movie is more focused on security and police outside of the elevator trying to get in. Think of this as less of a Shyamalan movie and more of a horror movie. Not quite worth the $8 ticket but still enjoyable. Yeah I am tempted to see this as well. They should never ever have attached or advertised M. Night as being involved with this movie, that alone will turn people away. Given Alvin's review I am now more tempted to see it. Devil - GeraldRice - 09-24-2010 I didn't know Shamalamadingdong was connected with this. Devil - tenebroust - 09-24-2010 I saw it today and it was okay. It definitely kept me on edge for most of the movie but no big surprises or shocks. Devil - saynomore - 09-25-2010 Since this moive is Night Chronicles I, I suppose more such fare is not too far behind. Movie's very short, just over an hour. Better for tv than the cinema show. AC P.S. Re the movie: Go read Ten Little Indians. It's scarier. Come to think of it: a horror version of Ten Little Indians. Hmmm. Wait, didn't they do that with April Fool's Day already? Devil - saynomore - 10-06-2010 After nature turned on mankind in The Happening, it was easy to figure out who was the Devil in the elevator in this reject Night Gallery episode. I mean, two guys and two girls and a tree in the elevator. Come on?! You can see who the killer is right away. M. Night Shamalamadingdong has lost his touch. Keep him away from the RJ books. AC P.S. Remember when he was the top choice to direct The Tomb? How fleeting is fandom. |
