The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (Simply magnificent. Tuco almost steals the show.) Rear Window Arsenic and Old Lace (This is what made Cary Grant so good.) Taxi Driver (Sadly, I can relate, on some levels, to Travis) Gangs of New York (Bill "The Butcher" is the greatest character ever caught on film) Whoops! That's six. I'm such a nonconformist! I think a good movie is one that I couldn't imagine never being able to see again. I can watch these over and over. What is the top 5 movie you had seen? - Irishkkc 2.0 - 08-05-2009 1. The Wizard Of Oz. I consider myself the Tin Man. It's also the best musical ever made. 2. Casablanca. The dialogue! The action! The intrigue! No other movie even comes close. 3. Citizen Kane. I love Orson Welles...he knew how to tell a story. The only problem was, he didn't tell enough of them, and spent the last half of his life coasting. 4. The Princess Bride. "Bye bye, boys! Have fun storming the castle!" "Am I going mad, or did the word THINK escape your lips?" One of the best sources of one liners I've ever heard. 5. The Day the Earth Stood Still (the original version with Michael Rennie). Still, in my opinion, the definitive science fiction movie. Back when there was good writing Although there are plenty of bad movies from back then also. Did you see the documetary on TCM on 1934 and all of the movies that were released that year?
