Looking for a quote from The Egyptian - Dervish - 07-09-2009 Earlier today I caught part of a movie called The Egyptian. It was ok, but I don't feel compelled to see the entire flick. But one quote I really wanted to have a copy of, and I can't find it on the net! If anyone could find this or link to where I can see the relevant part (even if the best is to see the entire movie), like on YT, on I would great appreciate it! It's the part where Sinuhe has returned to Egypt, been arrested & then pardoned by the hippie Pharaoh (that's how I think of him, all love, light, and peace, as if it's stronger than than even iron weapons), and as Sinuhe is talking to like the leader of the Egypt's armed forces and the leader says something about Hittites taking Egypt's throne from Pharaoh, Sinuhe replies about how he's been all over the world and no matter who ruled or what government was in place, there was brutality & injustice, so why did it matter who held the throne? What was the exact quote here? Right after, the military leader contrasted (& warned) Pharaoh to him, saying the former believed in too much and him in too little. "I believe in nothing," said Sinuhe. Anyway, can anyone help? Looking for a quote from The Egyptian - Alvin Fox - 07-09-2009 You can't use the find function because all of the pages are scanned in, but here's a pdf of the script for The Egyptian. http://www.dailyscript.com/scripts/The_Egyptian.pdf Looking for a quote from The Egyptian - Dervish - 07-09-2009 Ty so much! At first glance, it appears to be different from what I saw (either that, or they repeat a lot of scenes over & over, a little differently each time), but I think I found one that works anyway. I'll take a closer look at it later. Looking for a quote from The Egyptian - Dervish - 07-09-2009 Btw, I found the quote I was looking for: “I’ve seen rulers great and small, old and young, warlike and effeminate. The people suffer & die whatever the ruler calls himself.” --Sinuhe in The Egyptian, questioning whether it mattered if the ruler was Egyptian or Hittite. |
