New here:) - AL RAMOS - 06-14-2009

Hey all, I'm a newly-minted RJ fan! I've read all the books up to Infernal and am now about 50 pages into Harbingers. Can't say enough good things about the books, and am eagerly awaiting the conclusion of the series. Although in a way I'm not, because then there will be no more...

I'm a 36-year old libertarian native New Yorker living in Canberra, Australia. I work as a boutique manager and when i'm not at work, I enjoy reading, perfumery, politics, classical music, and baking when I have the energy. I like some things that RJ hates, like chai tea and opera.

Next time I go back to NYC to visit the folks, I plan to put together a RJ Tour for my husband (i.e the tunnel where Jack fought off the mugger, the apartment where Gia lives, the approximate location of Julio's, etc). He's the one who turned me on to FPW in the first place. If anyone else wants to join the tour, I'll let you know when I'll be in town and we can have a partySmile

See you on the boards!

Welcome, Al. You'll like it here.

Good curve, stating that you have a husband...you almost had me there, for a moment.

Heh.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Ken, I can see a fnord in your location... you a fan of RA Wilson?

Other fiction writers I like are David Morrell, Christopher Buckley, and J.R. Ward. I've also got Jim Butcher's "Storm Front" waiting for when I finish "By The Sword".

Not especially, but I have a couple of friends who are. One is the Future Fiction novelist L. Neil Smith, and the other is an artist/cartoonist . . . Scott Bieser.

L. Neil (often called El Neil) is listed in the acknowledgements in FPW's novel THE TOMB, and is Neil-the-Anarchist -- the one who owned the flag pole in the same novel.

(Have you driven a Fnord lately?)

I like a good bit of Robert Heinlein, James P. Hogan, and of course El Neil -- especially his first novel THE PROBABILITY BROACH.
