End Of The Line - Scott Miller - 05-06-2009 End Of The Line is a bloody, gutsy, and damn good low-budget film. It is about a cult who go on a murderous rampage aboard a subway in Montreal. This one takes no prisoners and is not for the faint of heart; it is the bloodiest movie I've seen in a long while and has a couple of very disturbing scenes. The only drawback is a couple of the actors leave a little to be desired and some dialogue is a bit weak. For those who like their horror hard core, this is a great option. I'll have to grab this one night when I'm in the mood for a good ol' stomach churning. Is it basically one of those flicks that forgoes a storyline and just focuses on disturbing the viewer as much as possible? Watched a non-horror flick last night called Dante 01. Looked to be good, but left me wishing I had those 2 hours back. Don't bother renting that one. There's a horror movie called Martyrs that has caught my eye, but I'm skittish these days since my luck has been rotten with B-movies for a while. Heard anything on this one? There is a story that makes sense but it isn't exactly convoluted; you shouldn't have any trouble following what's happening. It is essentially a real time movie-you're dropped into the action almost immediately ans swept along until the conclusion. Sam Wrote:Watched a non-horror flick last night called Dante 01. I've seen this at the store but it seems a little too sadistic for my tastes. I need monsters of the non-human variety in most cases if I'm going to watch something like that. |
