Monster movies - RichE - 03-02-2009 "I love Monster Movies and the Cheaper they are-the better they are"- Frank Zappa (intro to the song "CHEEPNIS" about films like "IT CONQUERED THE WORLD" from ROXY & ELSEWHERE). Since I've been sick and decided to take the night off from work (the -15 degree weather up here in the Poconos is added to my reason), I've been able to hit this forum while doing my FEAR NO EVIL piece I'm researching for FIR. Well, after hitting the political forum here (with Fox News on the tube), I thought I'd take a break from serious topics and it would be fun to start a Monsters thread of classic (and not so classic) titles I'm sure-even the big guy here- have all seen. I just threw my copy of "THE STRANGE WORLD OF PLANET X" (US title: "COSMIC MONSTERS") to inspire my tired old brain. But first, let's hear from my fellow FPW fans first!! Monster movies - cobalt - 03-02-2009 I loved the Godzilla movies as a kid. I'd watch them over and over. One that I still will watch whenever I can catch it is Them. Giant ants....love it! The original The Blob and The Thing....love those too. The remake of The Thing gives me the creeps....but that's the idea....right? Monster movies - Karithna - 03-03-2009 Oh, yeah!!! John Carpenter's "Thing" is one of my favorites. It was so much closer to the original story. Monster movies - RichE - 03-03-2009 Love "THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS", "THE GIANT BEHEMOTH" and "GORGO"! Monster movies - cobalt - 03-03-2009 If we're talking big beasties....the re-make of Godzilla and don't forget Cloverfield. Monster movies - Scott Miller - 03-03-2009 I always thought the Gamera movies were the best with my favorite being Gamera vs. Monster X. Monster movies - RichE - 03-03-2009 Hey! How about some cheese like: "ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS", THE CRAWLING EYE" or "GIANT FROM THE UKNOWN". And for something better: "CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON" and sequels! Monster movies - Pacal - 03-03-2009 Abbot and Costello meet (fill in the blank). Monster movies - cobalt - 03-03-2009 Pacal Wrote:Abbot and Costello meet (fill in the blank). Those were great weren't they? Monster movies - Brian - 03-04-2009 Remember The Crawling Eye?
