Received Secret Histories! - tenebroust - 02-27-2008 I got my copy today! It is beautiful in the slipcase. My only regret is that I will have to wait a bit to buy a copy TO READ! I'll have to wait to read it! Ugh. Received Secret Histories! - cobalt - 02-27-2008 Anyone ready to discuss this latest gem? Received Secret Histories! - Alvin Fox - 02-28-2008 Come on. Books are for reading. I've already read mine and lent it out. Received Secret Histories! - Paul R - 02-28-2008 cobalt79 Wrote:Anyone ready to discuss this latest gem? I started a thread. Before they went disco! "I started a thread. It's on the main page somewhere. Oh I couldn't see, that the thread was by me!" But seriously, when I read that it made me think of that song. Received Secret Histories! - tenebroust - 02-29-2008 I know that books are meant to be read and normally I would already be doing that. BUT I specifically bought this one to keep it as fresh as new still sealed. Normally I don't do this with books but it seemed prudent this time. I can wait a bit to read it Received Secret Histories! - Ken Valentine - 02-29-2008 tenebroust Wrote:I know that books are meant to be read and normally I would already be doing that. As FPW said; eye tracks will not decrease the value of a book. Ken V. Received Secret Histories! - Paul R - 02-29-2008 Biggles Wrote:I remember that tune by the Bee Gees! Before they went disco! Must be my 'inner Bee Gee' coming out! Received Secret Histories! - Dave F - 02-29-2008 Mine arrived today Superb presentation, I love the slipcase I guess I'll be becoming a recluse this week-end See you on the discussion thread very very soon. I can wait a bit to read it When I receive a book I immediately put a Mylar cover on the dust jacket. My book then goes everywhere with me until I am through reading it. Then it goes everywhere with my wife until she’s through with it. By the time it gets to the bookshelf the Mylar has fingerprints and scratches but the dust jacket and book is still pristine. Mylar even has UV protection so my books are safe even on the bookshelf. I buy my Mylar by the roll here: http://www.shopbrodart.com/site_pages/bjc/ |
