As a commander I am issued an M9 as opposed to an M16A2. I only like the M9 because for the last 4 months I was carrying the M16A2 and now I carry the M9. I'd rather have an M4 or the M16A2 (both preferably with a M203 attachment) when I'm up in Iraq, but here in Kuwait its easier carrying the M9...especially with all the travel I have to do between sites.
