Redacted - Bluesman Mike Lindner - 12-24-2007

I read this in the last issue of NATIONAL REVIEW, Mark Steyn's page, and must confide, gang, I laughed like a son of a bitch.

Know what that America-hating film grossed in the US in its first 3 weeks?

$60,456. Which means about 7000 people in our great land went to see it.

Ain't that sweet?

I have no idea whether this film is "anti-American", though I suspect it is not. I find it rather suspicious to call it a flop, though, when it only opened on 15 screens nationwide (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0937237/business). It's not as if it was everywhere and nobody wanted to see it. Rolleyes

National Review, eh? That explains much. Does this mean you are also a fan of the New York Times and Fox News?

I would call it an out right-anti American film based on the fact even members of the Left (not the far Left) called it full of half truths (and this was on CNN too!) not to mention the fact dePalma himself came out about his feelings about this country (talk about biting the hand that feeds you!).

I watch Fox News with an open mind and come to my own conclusions on domestic/world affairs. Its too bad this country is becoming a nation of 'group thought' on the extreme Right and Left in an effort to be part of the group.

I haven't read The American PRAVDA in years.
I don't watch tv except for sports at a taproom.

I take it you don't like NR, webby?
