The Bourne Ultimatum - Mike Hanson - 08-05-2007 Don't worry, no spoilers here. And the final report? It rocks! On my blog I give it my very first FIVE out of five cans of Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. Nuff said. Mike out The Bourne Ultimatum - Maggers - 08-06-2007 I just saw the BOURNE ULTIMATUM, and it was fabulous. The end takes place in New York, and there is a key address in my neighborhood. There was lots of BOURNE filming late last year in this neck of the woods. Paul Greengrass does it again. Good stuff. I had to suspend disbelief a couple of times, but no biggy. The only thing the REALLY bothered me was that they changed Moby's Extreme Ways (edit: it was just pointed out to me that the scene at the end of Supremacy is the EXACT scene which occurs in Ultimatum. I hadn't realized that.) The Bourne Ultimatum - jimbow8 - 08-06-2007 This is pretty funny: Matt Damon Guillermo Bourne Ultimatum Jimmy Kimmel Live - Don't watch Kimmel, but I assume Guillermo is a regular character? I don't watch Kimmel, either, but I know Guillermo and Kimmel from having watched DANCING WITH THE STARS. They both did short films of Guillermo and Kimmel dancing as if they were one of the contestant couples. Guillermo was always the girl, and he was hilarious trying to do a snappy two-step or, heaven forbid, a tango. They showed the clips as part of the regular DANCING WITH THE STARS show. The Bourne Ultimatum - Auskar - 08-07-2007 Watched The Bourne Ultimatum last night. Great movie. I really like the hand-to-hand fighting in the movies, though I've never seen anyone actually fight like that, at least not for so long. One thing that was cool is one of the getaway cars he used was a VW GTI (Nikki Parsons' car), and I have a fairly souped up modified version of that car. The Bourne Ultimatum - Dave - 08-07-2007 Loved this movie. Nice to see a third film living up to the first two. SPOILERS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Especially loved the suggestion of Nikki and Bourne's past, but they never actually explained it. Need to see the first two again to see if there was any suggestions of this before. Was she the reason he wanted to volunteer? To forget the pain of a bad break up? The Bourne Ultimatum - Mike Hanson - 08-08-2007 Dave Wrote:Loved this movie. To forget the pain of a bad break up? **Potential Spoilers** I dunno, Dave. While it was strongly implied that Nikki and Bourne had some kind of personal relationship back during Bourne's initial training as a Treadstone Recruit, the flashbacks to his first day in the presence of the CIA Witch Doctor imply a different motivation to join, altogether. Twice they have Bourne stating that he "wants to save lives." Not that he wants danger. Not that he wants to become the best that he can be (one of the elite). Not that he wants a challenge. He wants to save lives. I think it is subtly implied that his motivations to initially join Treadstone are strongly derived from a post-9/11 desire to become a "protector" I really think that the "history" between Bourne and Nicky is much more pedestrian an affair. Something the writer created to give a somewhat believable motivation for Nicky to stick her neck out on the line for him...and nothing more... But I'm not Tony Gilroy, so I really can't say what was in his mind when he wrote those scenes. Can't wait to see the movie a second time. Mike out The Bourne Ultimatum - Marc - 08-11-2007 I loved the film too. I'm almost tempted to say it was the best of the three. And Francine and I caught the hint too mentioned in Dave's spoiler section. Something is definitely up but it's good they don't resolve all the mysteries. Here's hoping they stop and don't ruin the series. The Bourne Ultimatum - Kenji - 11-10-2007 Today was the opening day in Japan, so I saw it today. I have to say aloud.... PERFECT ENDING!!! Excellent action film. Actually, I've never read Robert Ludlum's works. Any suggestions? Should I read novels of Jason Bourne? |
