Love or hate him, pretty much everyone knows who Michael Moore is. His newest film, Sicko, takes on the pharmaceutical companies. Check out the preview at YouTube.

He's pretty much a shill in his own right. Blindly singing the tune of the Left and all. Considering how much I think the Pharma. industry and the Healthcare industry in this country are pretty much equivalent to a shambling Lovecraftian nightmare I'll have to just overlook his holier than thou posturing.

I work in health care. Part of my job is to FIGHT for the patient so that the insurance company does what they are suppose to. I should be in the circus, as I jump thru hoops o' fire daily. Rolleyes

Whether it's Roger And Me, Bowling For Columbine, or Fahrenheit 911, Michael Moore has shown that he cannot be trusted.

It's government interference in the health care industry which has caused the current problems, and what do you want to bet that what Moore is calling for is more government interference?

I've never seen a Michael Moore movie. I don't like playing poker with a stacked deck either.

Same here. I am always interested in getting as close as possible to the truth of things, but you can't get anywhere near when you're slanting so far to one side.

Ken,

What are your ideas on how to fix the health care crisis and the ridiculous insurance costs?

Honestly, I'm stumped.

Susan (who has had many a nightmarish health insurance experience)

You nailed it with Moore Ken. I feel pretty much the same way about the guy. And from a few articles I have read he uses Cuba's social health care industry as the shining example of how it should be in this movie. I will never see this so I will have to take the peoples word on that.

I couldn't agree more that our Health care industry is a complete and total mess and needs some serious revamping but making the government more involved is absolutely the wrong way to go about it. Isn't it the government involvement that has it so screwed up already?

I think Michael Moore is very, very clever, but I completely disagree with his politics and his messages. His movies are VERY cleverly slanted, though.

I don't always agree with him but I do think he makes valid points. He is a filmmaker first and foremost and knows how to manipulate the audience like any good filmmaker.
