Two things, John--in Fortean studies, strange sinkholes like that are not that uncommon. 2) Happened on the 23rd, did it? Check out the late Robert Anton Wilson for peculiar '23' action. And did I say 2?--I meant 3--what a =great= photo of the hole and the shadow of the helicopter in it!

Yes, that was me. But I agree, the photos in the article Mr. Mouse found are much better than those in the article I found when the hole first appeared.
