A Really Bad Film That Could Have Been Really Good - ccosborne3 - 04-02-2007 Dead Heat (1988) Starring Treat Williams and.....Joe Piscopo. It could have been really good. The premise: Some dead criminals have been brought back to life and the cops are having a hard time putting them down again because they're already dead. At the end of the film the cops (Williams and Piscopo) corner the villain and he blows his brains out to escape their wrath. Now why not throw him on the rejuvenating machine that they were standing right next to, bring him back to life and then beat the crap out of him for awhile? That one scene ruined the entire film. Piscopo was actually pretty good and didn't bring down the film at all. the makeup and special effects really sucked. Glad to get that out of my system. It's been bothering me for almost twenty years.
