Tarantino + Rodriguez = Grindhouse - Kenji - 12-25-2006

Next year, a lot of movies are waiting for us. Or we're waiting for a lot of movies...? SpiderMan 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, new Harry Potter movie, etc....

Well, mostly, those movies are sequels or remakes. But this "Grindhouse" is original movies by two great directors.

I just checked the trailer, and it blew me away. "Wow! This is.....too cool!"
Watch the world trailer premiere for 'GRINDHOUSE,' the horror double feature from directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. I can't wait for it until next April!

Grindhouse got some super good reviews today. Now I'm really looking forward to it. I'll probably squeeze it in Monday. If anyone happens to catch it before then please post a review.

I guess the first half "Planet Terror" is a Zombie film.

Also starring the guy who plays Sayid. Referred to in some circles as "His Hotness" Wink

Looks like I gotta do everything myself. Smile

It was a good flick and I definitely feel as if I got my 7 bucks worth. I liked Tarantino's Deathproof a little bit more than Rodriguez's Planet Terror. Tarantino is getting on my nerves a little with his characters dialog. Everybody in his movies sounds exactly like him. Getting to the point actually where I'd like to slap him around and say "Not everybody talks like you, stop it, just stop it". Gender doesn't matter to him. Even the ladies sound just like him now. Still a good flick though. In between the two flicks they have trailers from fictitious films ( I hope) directed by Rob Zombie and Eli Roth. Funny stuff. Especially Roth's Thanksgiving. There's a funny bit about a naked girl bouncing on a trampoline that ah nevermind, just go see it.

I'd love to see you slap Tarantino around. I'd PAY to see you slap Tarantino around. Big Grin

PS How was Sayid, aka "his hotness?"

Why don't you ladies like the Quenster?

I used to, but what you said about his characters all sounding like him just pointed out how he's lost something over the years...like maybe good sense.

I just think the thought of you slapping Tarantino is hilarious. Not punching him, just slapping him. Funny image. I can hear him screaming in a high pitched girly voice, "Stop SLAPPING me!"

It's not that I hate him - I actually like some, maybe most, of his movies. I do think that the foul language is excessive and he is probably one of the people most responsible for ushering in the current trend of F-Bombs every couple of seconds in a lot of new R-rated films, but that's beside the point.

Mostly I just think it would be funny to see you, or anyone, try to slap him around. Sounds like something straight out of Pulp Fiction. Wink
