Discussion question suggestions for The Tomb - acfrogg - 11-11-2006 I started an online book club and my pick was The Tomb (I'll get people hooked if it's the last thing I do! ). I've never been part of a book club before and we are still starting out. I was wondering if you all would help me with some possible discussion questions to bring to the table? The ones I have so far are: What was your first impression of Jack, Gia, and Mr. Bahkti? What do you think of Jack's fight violence with violence approach? We have the book broken down in sections and are still on the first section, but any suggestions for any of the book would be greatly appreciated. This is the first book club I've been a part of. Thanks in advance! Discussion question suggestions for The Tomb - Dr. Trilobite - 11-11-2006 "Dude, how bad-ass was that flamethrower?" Discussion question suggestions for The Tomb - webby - 11-12-2006 A couple of ideas... What do you think of Jack's "under the radar" lifestyle? and for the very end... Would you have accepted the second necklace from Kolabati? Discussion question suggestions for The Tomb - Silverfish - 11-12-2006 Stylistically- would you have wanted the entire history first, as a background, or do you like the flashback-style where we learn a little bit at a time?
That's the best I can come up with at midnight, Frogg. Hope this helps. If it's in the first part that you're discussing, maybe you can discuss that label. Once finished with the book, knowing where Kolabati's principals stand, does the labeling change? -MarcC Discussion question suggestions for The Tomb - Bluesman Mike Lindner - 11-13-2006 acfrogg Wrote:I started an online book club and my pick was The Tomb (I'll get people hooked if it's the last thing I do! ). Discussion question suggestions for The Tomb - Scott Miller - 11-14-2006 Have you ever wanted/needed someone like Jack on your side? Why isn't FPW a household name? The ones I have so far are: Most people will not know this, but the whole story stems from the confrontation Jack has with the mother Rakosh on the rooftop of his building. (I believe FPW dreamed it first) You could also ponder the question "Was Jack destined to meet the Bahktis' and the Rakosh? What are the chances he would become involved with the Westphalns? Another good conversation point would be... if the rakosh where made from the worst parts of humans, how did Scarlip retain ... oops, sorry, that's "All the Rage". A good question, and one worthy of discussion... Who would have won in the hold, Kusum or Jack? I know we'll never know, but soooo many things led up to their confrontation. And how about the choice he made during their reckoning, good or bad as far as honor. Discussion question suggestions for The Tomb - Lisa - 11-15-2006 Who would win in a fight, Gia or Kolabati? Okay, just kiddin'. Good luck with your discussion group! Lisa |
