X-Men 3 *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* - Marc - 05-26-2006 Ehh... wasn't spectacular by any means. Bret Ratner ain't no Bryan Singer. I didn't care for the introduction of SO many new characters and throwing the ones we've known since the first movie out the window. The subtle moments Singer achieved in the first two are definitely lacking in this one. And how does it go from day to night in under 30 seconds? (If you see the movie it happens when they storm Alcatraz). X-Men 3 *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* - Wizard - 05-28-2006 It felt to me like Ratner tried to make up for his lack of skill directing by throwing in millions of dollars worth of special effects. All in all i wasnt thrilled by the movie like i was the other two, but it could have been a lot worse. At least Magneto was still showin' his ass. X-Men 3 *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* - HaroldDemure - 05-28-2006 i seem to be in the minority because i LOVED this movie. it had it's flaws. i mean Angel could have been left out completely, and Rouge was sort of an afterthought. but none of the movies have brought me to tears before and this one did twice. i think that it easily stands up to the other two films, and that is a pretty high bar for me. X-Men 3 *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* - jimbow8 - 05-29-2006 I liked it too, Harold. I think I liked it least of the three but ....... It wasn't perfect, and I understand that DIEHARD fans of the comics might HATE it, but I wasn't one, so ........ X-Men 3 *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* - Maggers - 05-29-2006 I saw "X Men 3" today on a free pass. It wasn't awful but it wasn't...well, much of anything. I thought it was silly watching Jean stand there and do nothing while the world went to pieces around her. I didn't buy so much of it. But I did really like Kelsey Grammer all hairy, blue and buffed up (OK, I know it's prosthetics). Call me crazy but it excited me. OMG, that's NUTS! Glad I saw it on a free pass. OMG, that's NUTS! So you like hairy beasts? X-Men 3 *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* - Maggers - 05-30-2006 Marc B. Wrote:So you like hairy beasts? Yes, especially if they are smart. X-Men 3 *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* - jacobm - 06-01-2006 Singer did a much better job than Ratner, kind of makes me look forward to the Superman movie a little more. The night/day scene was kind of irritating, and I got sick of the lame attempts at subplots like the Rogue/Iceman/Kitty love triangle. When a movie introduces characters and does not flesh them out, but keeps having them appear over and over (Kitty, Colossus, Juggernaut) it gets very annoying. X-Men 3 *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* - Terry Willacker - 06-01-2006 I liked this movie and would recommend it at least to those who, like me, never read the comic books. However, Logan trying to save Jean kept making me think of Xander and Willow. X-Men 3 *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* - Medusa - 06-01-2006 Maggers Wrote:Yes, especially if they are smart. And blue! lol |
